You must meet the following eligibility requirements for Travcare’s insurance policies.
– Be at least 15 days of age and under 90 years old (under 70 years old for Comprehensive Plan).
– Be legally allowed to enter and stay in Canada as a resident or under a valid visa including Temporary Resident Visa (Visitor Visa), Super Visa, Work Permit or a Student Visa.
– Not be travelling against medical advise of a physician and/or not have been diagnosed with a terminal illness; and
– Not have any reason to seek medical attention and/or not be experiencing new or undiagnosed signs or symptoms.
– Not require any assistance with daily living activities (i.e. bathing, dressing, eating, etc.).
1) For ages up to 74 y.o.: Pre-existing medical conditions are covered, provided they have been stable in the last 90 days prior to the effective date.
2) For ages 75 – 84 y.o.: Pre-existing medical conditions are covered, provided they have been stable in the last 180 days prior to the effective date. Medical declaration (at the moment of purchase) is required.
Unlike many other insurance providers, Travcare issues refunds of paid premium even if a claim has been made.
– You request a full refund prior to the effective date of your policy.
– You request a full refund prior to the effective date of your policy because your Visa (including TRV and Super Visa) application was not approved. A satisfactory proof of visa denial from IRCC is required.
– You cancel your coverage before the expiry date due to Early Departure to your home country (subject to an administration fee).
– You become eligible and/or covered by any Provincial Insurance Plan in Canada (subject to an administration fee).

Failure to contact the Assistance Company before receiving treatment, unless under extreme circumstances, may result in a covered benefit limitation to 80% of otherwise payable expenses to the maximum of $25,000.

Insured person is responsible for providing all documents outlined below. In order to proceed with a claim you need to do the following:
– Fully complete a Claim Form (provided by the Assistance Company).
– Attach all original medical receipts that include claimant’s name, complete medical diagnosis, dates and types of administered treatment.
– Include all original itemized bills from services provider(s); original prescription medication receipts (not cash receipts);
– Include a copy of your passport as proof of arrival and/or departure date to/from Canada.
– If a claim happens during a Side-Trip outside of Canada – provide proof of travel i.e. boarding pass, airplane or train tickets, gas receipts, toll receipts depending on the method of travel.
– Submit additional information if requested by the Assistance Company related to the claim in question.
– Send the above documents to the address provided below.
